U. S. stocks closed down across the board? The Dow is down nearly 500 points? JPMorgan Chase fell nearly 6.5%. On April 12, local time, the three major indexes of U. S. stocks closed down, and the Dow fell nearly 500 points. By the close, the Dow was down 475.84 points, or 1.24%, from the previous session at 37983.24; the S & P was down 75.65, or 1.46%, at 5123.41; and the Nasdaq was down 267.10, or 1.62%, at 16175.09. All three major indexes of U. S. stocks fell for the second week in a row. Among them, the Dow is down 2.37% this week, the S & P 500 is down 1.56%, and the Nasdaq is down 0.45%. Large technology stocks fell, Intel fell more than 5%, Nvidia, Tesla, Facebook parent company Meta fell more than 2%, Microsoft, Google A, Amazon fell more than 1%, Apple rose nearly 1%. Shares of large banks fell by nearly 6.5%, the worst one-day performance since June 2020. BlackRock fell nearly 3%, Goldman Sachs fell more than 2%, Citigroup, Bank of America and UBS fell more than 1%. Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo fell slightly. Hot Chinese stocks generally fell, and the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index fell 4.58%. Xiaopeng Motor fell by nearly 10%, Weilai by nearly 8%, Weibo by nearly 7%, iqiyi and bilibili by more than 6%, JD.com by nearly 6%, NetEase by more than 5%, Alibaba, Baidu, ideal Motor, pinduoduo, Tencent Music, Futu Holdings and Manbang fell by more than 4%.
